Melanie McNulty is a high-energy, innovative marketing professional with demonstrated success in the high-technology industry. She has a proven ability to make informed decisions about the best use of the entire spectrum of communications materials and how to evaluate their effectiveness. As a proactive interdepartmental leader that has helped build and define global brands, she has a track record of successfully managing agencies and in-house creative teams. With a background in both corporate and agency, she has direct, hands-on experience in brand marketing and management, visual identity, marketing communications, advertising and public relations campaigns, investor communications and trademark management.
An effective leader and collaborative team player, Melanie is a hands-on professional who is known for her successful implemenation of strategic marketing programs and consistent execution of communication deliverables. She is adept at building successful relationships across the organization, leading large scale changes, and completing multiple priorities on time and on budget.
Melanie is currently partnered with the NetApp creative services team to enhance the overall brand experience and play a key role in the expansion of the brand identity and timely production of marketing, sales and technical collateral.
Recently, she was a consultant to Cadence Design Systems' Brand team and instrumental to the rollout of the new corporate brand identity. Associated projects included several online advertising campaigns, the development and production of a new corporate video, and the production of both internal and external collateral.
Melanie's extensive corporate marketing experience at companies including Cisco, Lucent Technologies, Synopsys and Regent Pacific Management Corporation affords her a strong familiarity and understanding of the strategic requirements of a diverse set of industries. Regardless of a company's business or end product, Melanie is able to translate marketing and communications ideas into thorough and thoughtfull objectives and decisive action plans. She has helped organizations redirect their product-specific focus to a more stategic emphasis on relationship marketing, thereby enhancing the corporate brand. She is adept at managing vendor relationships, including advertising and public relations agencies.
She enjoys working with creative individuals at the beginning of their career and has been privileged to serve as an adjunct professor of advertising at San Jose State University. Melanie received her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University and earned her Master's degree in Communications from the University of Denver.
